Arizona Contractor'S License Bond

The Purpose of an Arizona Contractor’s License Bond

If you are a contractor operating in Arizona, the State Statute requires a bond to be filed with the Registrar of Contractors before granting of a contractor license. Separate licenses are issued for commercial and residential work. Dual licenses are also an option for contractors doing both commercial and residential work.

Bond amounts vary based on license type and annual dollar volume of work. Please refer to Arizona Revised Statutes ARS section 32-1152 for more specifics. Links are also provided below under FAQ to Registrars’ Contact information and license application process, license classifications, and bond amounts.
